THE DAYS YOU JUST DON’T WANT TO…

Some days prepping for these silly challenges, there are days you just don’t want to do it.

You’re tired, you’re emotionally or physically exhausted.

You find reasons not to do it. Excuses wrapped up as reasons that are often just bullshit.

There are choices we make every day, in life, business, work, training.

If we find excuses to stop or give up with the choices presented to us in our physical training it seeps into other parts of our life.

It’s why I’ve always viewed training as a great analogy of life.

It’s why I love these crazy endurance attempts and events.

We get faced with a challenge at some point in the prep and in the event - give up or continue?

Carry on or quit?

Like this pictured here, 36 hours into the 4/4/48 last year where you question if you’ve got enough left.

Only you can answer that question.

Only you can decide if it’s a genuine reason to stop, give up or rest.... or an excuse, a bullshit narrative, fragility of our resolve.

This isn’t about beast mode and all that shit; it’s about a genuine question to yourself when faced with the question... is this a reason to stop or an excuse I’ve found?

Receiving messages from ambassadors pumped up for the 48/48/48 relit the fire today.

With 20 weeks left, we don’t have time for missed sessions.

The work was eventually done, rest is planned for an early night and tomorrow will be attacked with energy and optimism.

Don’t give up too easily when faced with that question, keep moving forwards - that’s how winning is done.

The work is never done, we keep moving forwards.
