The "Not a Retreat" Retreat
No incense. No journaling circles. No wanky talk about energy. Just time away from the grind to work on yourself, with people paddling in the same direction.
Book Your SpotNot a Retreat.
Actual time away.
Two days out of the noise. A bit of training, a bit of thinking, a proper hike, a good meal, a beer, an optional cigar, and a damn good time around like-minded people.
You leave Sunday with sharper lifts, clearer goals, and a head that feels less full of static. That's it. That's the pitch.
What You're Getting
Six things, no fluff. Each one earns its place on the weekend.
Time Away
Quality space out of the day-to-day grind so you can actually hear yourself think.
Goals and Barriers
A focused session on what you're chasing and what's quietly stopping you getting there.
2hr Lifting Seminar
Hands-on training and education around the key lifts. Cleaner technique, fewer leaks.
Smoke House Dinner
Saturday night booking at the local Smoke House. Pre-orders sorted in advance.
Malvern Hills Trek
A proper hike on Sunday. Steps in, lungs working, decent views to talk things through.
Beer and Cigars (optional)
A pint at the end, an optional cigar, and the company of people who get it.
The Weekend
Structured enough to get something done. Loose enough to actually enjoy it.
Saturday
- Welcome coffee (or tea, if you're one of those)
- Lifting seminar, 2 hours, hands-on
- Lunch (pre-orders needed)
- Workshop: goal setting and barrier removal
- Saturday night, Smoke House dinner (own cost)
Sunday
- Coordinated hike across the Malvern Hills
- A refreshing beer (or beverage of choice) at the end
- Wrap, goodbyes, and onward
Ready to rip into the rest of 2026.
And the headspace to start mapping out 2027 while you're at it.
Sharper lifts. A cleaner head. Real goals instead of vague intentions. Steps in your legs and good craic in your bones. The kind of weekend you'll still be talking about at Christmas.
Stay in Worcester.
The day sessions are in Malvern, but Saturday night dinner and the festivities are down the road in Worcester. A central Worcester hotel makes everything easier. These two are closest to where we're eating.
For your reference, the evening meal is at Hickory's Smokehouse, Cripplegate Park, Tybridge Street, Worcester, WR2 5BA.
Premier Inn, New Road
Right by Worcester's New Road Cricket Ground. Easy, reliable, and a short walk into the centre.
The Whitehouse Hotel, City Centre
Right in the heart of Worcester. Closest to the Smoke House and a roll back to bed after.
